JOB SEEKERS

txtAjob.ie can be described by 5 easy steps for the Job Seeker:

• Register online or by text
• Pick your job category(s)
• Receive Free text alerts instantly when a job is posted in your category
• Be the first to apply for that dream job!
• Manage your profile

Employers steps on how to use can be found below under the Job Seeker information;

 

1. REGISTER ONLINE OR BY TEXT - JOB SEEKERS

You can register online by clicking the Register button under Job Seekers.  Then simply follow the prompts, fill in the required information, and select relevant job categories.

You can also register and add categories at any time by FREE text without logging back on to the website.  Simply text  “Job” + “Category” to 50123.  For example if you are interested in accountancy jobs you text:

job accountancy  to 50123. 

These texts are free. 

Enter your activation code.

When you register online a free activation text is sent to confirm you entered your correct phone number on your profile page. Enter the code into the activation box on your My Jobs page and your done.

 

2. PICK YOUR JOB CATEGORY

This is the most important step.  Be sure to chose the categories specific to work you want.  These can be added or removed at any time. Ever wanted to work in a bar but changed your mind to working in a hotel? No problem, simply unclick one category and re-click another, or click both! You can always log onto the website and amend this in the future or text STOP to 57003.

Remember to click the ENTER button before you leave the job alerts page or you won’t receive alerts.

Can’t find the category you are looking for?  Please select the closest to your category and send suggestions to our suggestion box. We’re always looking for feedback!

 

3. RECEIVE FREE TEXT ALERTS 

You will automatically receive free alerts for jobs in the categories you selected when they are added by employers.  Jobs on the site are removed after 30 days unless they are renewed by the employer.  This ensures you are not receiving out of date job alerts. 

Your job text alerts arrive from our number 57003. This is our free text number.

You will receive job alerts for any new jobs posted in the category(s) you have subscribed too.

This is a free service paid for by txtAjob.ie

Any texts you send and receive in reply to that specific jobs are also free texts. 

Note you will not receive job alerts for any jobs that are live on the site prior to your registration.  You will only receive new jobs posted after your registration.

Jobs which are on the site before you register are charged at €1 to view the contact details and this charge will contribute to a fund to run training days for the unemployed durning the year.(Watch out for updates on dates and venues) a good cause i`m sure you will agree.

For your piece of mind we also block ads from job advertisements for the below categories. 

• Work from home opportunities
• Barter or volunteer positions
• Deferred pay positions
• Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or positions that require a monetary investment.

 

4. BE THE FIRST TO APPLY FOR THAT JOB! 

If you want to apply for the job alert you received simply reply “yes” + “code” to the Free text number. We will then automatically send you back a Free text with the employers requested method of contact (If you’re not interested in that job offer then just don’t reply. It’s that simple).

If you request the contact details the job is automatically posted to your "my jobs" page also so you can review it at a later date.

Too apply for the job position use the apply button beside the job on your "my jobs" page and our system will send your application to the employer. The employer will receive your CV under the name txtAjob.ie

We will supply you with whatever contact information for which the employer would like to be contacted; for example a phone number to call, or an email address etc.

 

5. MANAGE YOUR PROFILE 

You can log in at any time to upload your new CV in your profile section under "my account", update job categories you receive alerts for, and review previous jobs applied for.  Make your jobs profile work for you, its simple to use! 

 

6. STOP RECEIVING TEXT ALERTS 

We really hope you enjoy our unique service but if you feel you would like to opt out of our service you have two options.

A)  Text the word "STOP" to 57003.

B)  Log onto your jobseeker profile page under the section Job alerts then  De-select  the category(s) you want to remove and press the Enter button.

You will no longer get job alerts but you are more than welcome to continue using all other features of our website. If you at any future time wish to re-activate job alerts just go back in and click the category(s) again and press the enter button.

Remember, you must CLICK THE ENTER BUTTON when adding or removing job categories or the system will not be updated.  

 

EMPLOYERS

Welcome to txtAjob.ie!  See below the simple steps to start sending job alerts to possible candidates today, at no cost to you!

• Register online and post your job for free
• upgrade your ad to premium
• Text alerts sent out to candidates for free
• Add more jobs online or by text
• Manager Profile

 

1. REGISTER ONLINE - EMPLOYERS 

You can register online by clicking on the Register button under Employers.  Then simply follow the prompts and fill in the required information.

Activation code:

After you register online a free activation text is sent to your mobile to confirm the details you entered on the registration page are correct.Enter the code into the activation box on your My Jobs page and your done.

You can now add one or many job vacancies by clicking Add Job in the top right hand corner of the page.  This opens up a page to type up your job vacancy, please Do not include your contact information within the body of your job description.

You can now type the 160 character maximum text alert, for example:

Bar food chef 4 busy kitchen asap Wexford. 
Own transport req, HAACP trained.

 Company name can be included in the text if you wish, though space is short!

Please include only the way you would like to be contacted by the job seeker on the add job page.  For example, if you would like a CV emailed put in your email address.  If you would like to be called, type in your phone number (landline or mobile but leave no gaps between any digits).

Want to copy and paste your existing ad from another website? Simply copy all of the text, click the paste from word button on the txtAjob.ie  job page, and paste information into the text box that appears.   

Click Add New Offer. 

The job is sent for moderation by the txtAjob team. Once we review the ad to ensure its (a) written without the contact information in the body and (b) a paying relevant position within the correct category it will go live.

 

2. TEXT ALERTS SENT TO CANDIDATES 

Once approved by the textAjob.ie moderator, the job goes live and is immediately text for free to anyone subscribed to that category of job. The job is also placed on the website and can be reviewed by candidates.

Jobs which are on the site before a jobseeker  registers for the free text service are charged at €1 to view the contact details.

This charge will be used to fund and run training days for the unemployed durning the year.(Watch out for updates on dates and venues) which i`m sure you will agree is a good cause.

 

3. ADD MORE JOBS ONLINE OR BY TEXT 

Once you have posted one or more jobs with txtAjob.ie we will amend your status to be a “trusted” employer.  You can then send job postings in by text without logging onto the website.  Type the word "AD" followed by the description (maximum 160 characters leaving out all contact details) and send to 51000.  We do the rest, based on the contact information on your profile page.  For example:

Bar food chef 4 busy kitchen asap Wexford. 
Own transport req, HAACP trained.

4. MANAGE PROFILE 

You can log in at any time to review how many candidates have reviewed your positions, review and refresh daily your job postings,upgrade your job ad to premium and amend your contact details.This is all done under the section "my account" after you login.

 

5. Delete/Renew/Refresh/Upgrading Job Ads

You can review all of your current and old job postings under My Jobs while logged into your profile. 

Jobs which have expired will have "Renew offer" beside them

Live jobs have "Refresh" and "Disable" beside them

Live jobs also have an option "Upgrade to premium" beside them
